MELODY
Music Education for Learning Opportunities and Development of Youngsters

The MELODY project aims at developing an innovative teaching methodology that improves the quality of the learning experience for pupils between 6 and 14 years by using the language of music to promote shared values.
The project foresees the creation of a cross-curricular methodology, combining music and citizenship education. This methodology conceives music as an educational tool, able to enhance children’s participation in democratic life, promote their knowledge of EU common values and support their engagement.

PROJECT STRUCTURE

The project encompasses three main actions:
- Learning MELODY: This phase involves forming the Melody team, which will share best practices and develop a new teaching methodology. The outcome will be a Toolkit designed for teachers and youth workers.
- Playing MELODY: In this stage, the methodology will be implemented in school settings, following thorough training for teachers and educators. They will test the methodology in classroom environments, while the Melody team members will continuously monitor and evaluate the implementation to refine the Toolkit as needed.
- Spreading MELODY: The project will maintain continuous communication and promotion, sharing its final results through local multiplier events and a final conference.
