MELODY Kick-off Meeting – Starting in Perfect Harmony

The MELODY project—Music Education for Learning Opportunities and Development of Youngsters—officially started with an energizing kick-off meeting that brought together all project partners. Co-financed by the European Union under the Erasmus+ programme, MELODY aims to create an innovative educational methodology that uses music as a tool to support civic education and community participation among children.

This first meeting was held online on 9th February 2024 and marked the beginning of a unique collaboration among the Municipality of Macerata (Italy, lead partner), Roter Baum Berlin (Germany), and Curba de Cultura (Romania). Also contributing to the project are technical experts from ASLICO, whose experience in music education through opera is a valuable asset to the team.

The meeting provided space for partners to align on project goals, discuss the work plan, and set a collaborative tone for the months ahead. Participants shared initial ideas and expectations, laying the foundation for a dynamic process of co-creation.

It was a moment of shared vision, excitement, and motivation—setting the rhythm for what promises to be an inspiring and impactful journey in music-based education!
